Aphrodite of Milos
Is a well-known marble statue of the Hellenistic era, which was found, in the spring of 1820, in a rural area of ??Milos. The statue was found in more than 6 separate pieces and ended up a year later in the Louvre Museum, where it is still on display till today. In the museum of Milos there is an exact copy of it, which it was later sent as a donation from the Louvre. Aphrodite of Milos is considered an amazing work of Hellenistic art, which harmoniously combines female beauty and femininity. It is considered a work of Praxiteles, a trademark of Milos and definitely one of the most important assets of the Louvre.
